“Her life and death are a powerful teaching to us all”
– Dzogchen Ponlop Rinpoche
Joyce Lam was a senior Nalandabodhi student who joined the sangha in 1997. She led a rich Nalandabodhi life filled with devotion, offering and service to the guru and the mandala. Joyce was the first translator, study instructor, and practice instructor for the Chinese speaking sangha, and she also assumed sangha leadership duties for Nalandabodhi Canada. In 2025 she passed after taking her terminal illness on the path.
We have compiled an account of Joyce’s life for reflecting on our own journey on the path. The biography includes remarks by Dzogchen Ponlop Rinpoche, Mitra Lee Worley and Mitra Dean Mark Power. It is in English and Chinese.
The biography is available in electronic and booklet formats.
