Welcome to Nalandabodhi Halifax!

Whether you are new to Buddhism or have been exploring the path for some time, you are welcome to join us for meditation practice, study, and community gatherings.

Khadiravanitara (Green Tara) Practice 
Sunday,  July 26, 10 am 

You are welcome to join the Nalandabodhi community in the practice of Khadiravanitara, a Green Tara sadhana authored and compiled by Dzogchen Ponlop Rinpoche.  

Green Tara represents the fearless and compassionate energy of our mind’s true nature and the resolve to dispel suffering and fear. In all wisdom traditions, it is said that the antidote to fear is loving kindness.  

Plan to arrive 15 minutes early if this is your first practice session.

Cosmology and Visualization in Tibetan Buddhist Practice

We are excited that Karunika Stephanie Johnston will offer a teaching series based on her new book Symbolizing the Awakened Heart: The Practice of Buddhist Visual Literacy!

Open Talks on Buddhism
Join us for monthly talks on Buddhist topics! The talks are open to anyone with curiosity about the Buddhist path. Each evening will be a mix of presentation, meditation and discussion.
Classes are co-facilitated by Drime Shiwa and Karunika Brigitte Lause, both long term practitioners on the Buddhist path. Free of charge, though donations are always welcome.

Day of Meditation: Pause. Breathe. Be.
Sunday, Oct. 18, 10:00-4:30 pm

Join us for a day of sitting and walking meditation, as well as group conversation.  Beginners and experienced meditators alike are welcome. 

Individual meditation instruction will be offered at 10 am, while the first session of the day starts at 10:30.

Come for the whole day or for individual sessions. (Please arrive a few minutes before the start of a practice session.)

Tea, fruit, and cookies provided. Bring a bag lunch and your water bottle.

Bodhi Gathering
We come together for meditation, personal sharing and exploration of verses from the 37 Practices of the Bodhisattvas.

We are happy to provide personalized 1:1 meditation instruction.  You will learn basic meditation techniques, how to adjust the meditation posture to your physical needs, and how to work with possible obstacles. Contact us at halifax@nalandabodhi.ca to request instruction.
